The "Extraterrestrial Highway" is the nickname given to Nevada State Route 375 by tourists, due to many reported UFO observations and alien activity along the road. The controversial and formerly top-secret military base Area 51 is near SR 375., also earning the highway popularity for alien-related activity. Renaming Rout 375 the "Extraterrestrial Highway" brought tourism to a small bed and breakfast inn called "The Little A'Le'Inn", located in Rachel.
The highway meets Mail Box Road, which is marked by a no longer black postal drop called the "black mailbox". The black mailbox is occasionally used as a gathering for UFO seekers.
